The food is amazing and great service 10/10 recommend. The roast duck is to die for. They also have quick take out.

If you're new to the 163rd Street North Miami corridor aka Miami's "China Town" then you may not know that this place was the one that started it all. Nowadays, everyone boasts to have the best roast duck, but this place did in fact, in the mid 80's, did have in fact, the absolute best duck anywhere.

Times have changed especially in this area that's dubbed Miami's China Town and nowadays, you can pick 6 places in which you could enjoy some really good authentic Chinese fare.

Bamboo Gardens was one of my all time favorite places to dine when I was very young, and going back brought back much nostalgia. The owner is still there and he's gone through quite a bit with opening up a large party room just upstairs which has housed many events.

He's recently made many improvements and has even brought in his relative from the mainland to helm the kitchen and bring back some authentic dishes cooked the proper way.

On the evening we went, all the dishes looked great and presented really nicely done, however, they lacked the flavor umph we were all looking for. Maybe a lack of seasoning or sauce, but it was all quite flat. Who knows...maybe they decided not to use MSG as in turning a new page but we just don't know really...

We have not been back since but wish to and hope that they've adjusted the flavors as we were so fondly of back in the day...

    This review is for delivery.
Order arrived fast and hot but...
Unfortunately food was subpar: Honey garlic chicken was 80 % dough and 20% chicken, veggie fried rice was dry and vegetables were the type you know were frozen or dried, vegetable chow mein was soggy and watery.
I used to order from this place a few years ago but I'll think twice before ordering again.

Nasty food that's way overpriced. Service was fairly bad as well. I ordered a seafood combo with shrimps, scallop, lobster, squid and salmon. The dish arrives without lobster or salmon and when I point this out she says oh sorry I gave you the wrong menu, but I still had to pay full price. Terrrible, I'd wish this place would burn down except for the really good CY Sizchuan Chinese resturant which is 2 doors down. If you want Chinese food, go there it's far superior.
